How are babies made?

You're bound to have questions, which is why we've tried to answer the ones we're most commonly asked. Of course, if you can't find the answer you're looking for, just get in touch and we'll try to help. As long as they're cottage related questions you understand. We can't help with algebra or where the nearest supermarket is at midnight.

Q. What's included in the price?
All linen, towels, electricity and gas.
Q. What kind of standard can I expect?
A. We've been awarded an 'enjoyEngland 4-star self-catering award' which means we've been independently assessed by the official tourist board for England and part of VisitBritain.
Q. Can we bring Rex the dog with us?
A. Of course you can, he's part of the family isn't he? We have made two of our cottages pet friendly Chestnut and Maple however there will be a charge of £10 per animal. More than one pet by appointment only.  however, Rex needs to be very well behaved and he's not allowed in the bedrooms or on the furniture and of course he mustn't damage the property. We know that the majority of pet owners are very conscientious and respectful of other people's property anyway, and if your animal is well trained and behaved, why shouldn't he come on holiday?
Q. I'm allergic to animals. I'm worried there'll be hairs on the furniture.
A. We don't allow animals in the majority of our properties. In fact, we only cater for animals in just one specific property and in that property, we insist that pets are kept out of bedrooms and off the furniture and that they are never left in the property unattended. Plus, we clean each holiday home rigorously once our guests leave, so hopefully that will put your mind at rest. It has mine.
Q. Do we need to bring stuff for smaller children?
A. We provide travel cots, travel safety gates, baby monitors and highchairs on request at no additional charge. We don't provide linen for the cots.
Q. Do you change the bed linen and towels during my stay?
A. Depending on how long you stay, we can change the bed linen and towels and/or clean the cottage for a small additional cost. We provide towels but we recommend you bring your own beach towels as towels must not be removed from the property. But remember, the washing machine and tumble dryer provided mean you can wash your towels and bedding at any time. It really is like a home from home. Ho-hum.
Q. What's included in the price of my holiday?
A. Prices quoted are for each point of the season and are based on a 7-night stay. Gas, electric and linen are included in the price. Some of our cottages have real open fires and wood burners. We provide an initial supply of logs and details of where to buy further supplies locally are in your welcome pack.
Q. What if we just want to book a short break?
A. Sometimes weekend and mid-breaks become available, especially out of season. We'll try our best to accommodate you. Remember, autumn and winter might not be flip-flop and barbeque weather but there is lots of perks to this time of year – fresh, brisk walks along the coast, Christmas shopping (or getting away from the Christmas madness!), lazy nights in front of a blazing log fire and of course, whiling away the hours in quaint inns and restaurants as the north wind blows.
Q. Are there facilities for a BBQ?
A. There's a patio area, so don't forget your disposable BBQs. Your welcome pack will also tell you where you can buy disposable BBQs locally.
Q. It's a special occasion, can you provide extras like champagne?
A. For an extra fee, we'll try our best to arrange and supply whatever you have in mind.
Q. Is there wheelchair access/disabled facilities?
A. All of our doors are 2 foot 9 inches wide for wheelchair access, although there is a small step into each cottage in Lesbury.
Q. Can I order groceries for my arrival?
A. Again, for a small fee, we are more than happy to try and accommodate any request.
Q. Is there parking?
A. Each property has one parking space.
Q. What time can we arrive and what time do we need to leave?

A. Your property will be ready from 3pm on the day of arrival and will need to be vacated by 10am on day of departure. It's a good idea to give us a call a few days before you arrive to arrange the collection of keys and discuss your time of arrival and departure.

But don't worry, we have kids, so we know you may need to be flexible and as long as you give us three days advance notice that you may need to extend your arrival or departure time, we'll do our very best to make things as easy as possible for you. When you leave, you just need to return the keys to the collection point that we arrange with you.

Q. What happens if we need to change the dates?
A. If it's possible to change the date, we'll do our very best. However, there may be a charge. Please read our full terms and conditions.
Q. What happens if we need to cancel?
A. Please read our full terms and conditions that show how much of your balance is refunded depending on the notice you give us. Where possible, we will try and relet the accommodation and if we're successful, we'll refund you part of the balance.
Q. What happens if there's an emergency during our stay?
A. Again, we have kids, so we know that you will want to know where the nearest doctors, hospital, vets and chemist is. That's why we provide full details in your welcome pack.
Q. What if I leave something behind?
A. Fear not, if you leave your phone charger, child, or coat, we'll happily return them to you and just charge you the postal and packaging costs.
Q. Can we smoke in our holiday home?
A. Sorry, all of our homes are strictly non-smoking. However, you are more than welcome to smoke outside, just as long as you remove any butts and leave the area clean and tidy.
